Question by ben b: Ladies, what are some SUBTLE ways you might hint at marriage?
I mean SUBTLE ways, not the “oh, that’s a nice wedding gown” comments when walking by the bridal store at the mall. We are already in this for the long term since we can’t have sex until married; if we weren’t open to the possibility we wouldn’t be together. Right now it is still too soon, only been a few months (4-5). But when we are fooling wanting to do “it” she always says someday.
I have met her parents already. She put an egg on my lap once and semi jokingly said that’s our child.
We have brought up the topic of kids once or twice.
How should I interpret these things? I figure I would wait about a year until I propose and then be engaged for a few months. Need time to make sure she is the one….
What are some signs/hints she might drop when she is ready?

o la la frenche`/that lady has so many she could probably sell out Dillard’s
Sounds like the hints are dropping all over the place.
only you can tell that, comments about children women usually express with someone they really like, or if she brings up something about marriage, or looks at you in a certain way, but I feel you should really make sure she is the one, because if you a re getting married for sex, after it starts getting routine, you will leave
It sounds like you already know. She sounds like she’s already got her mind made up!
She won’t drop hints-she’ll just tell you. LOL
When she starts a jokey conversation about growing old together, favourite baby names, how many tiers on a wedding cake can’t be far way.
This isn’t a “guessing game”. The most “subtle” hint is that she’s with you, and not with some other guy. The best way to find out *exactly* where she falls on the continuum from “not being ready” to “being 100% completely ready” is to bring it up in a conversation and talk to her. There’s NOTHING wrong with discussing marriage, even when you’re not actually “proposing”.
